Description
Tanto, Japanese knife, wooden and veneered handle, bone fittings, menuki with a razor motif. The blade is strong, with a chevron-patterned back; no visible temper line – likely a refit of an older, shortened blade. Total length 41 cm, blade (nagasa) 20.5 cm. Japan, Meiji era, blade possibly older. Fairly good condition, with signs of wear, oxidation and missing sections.
