TURKEY (19th century). Two ewers from Çanakkale known as the ‘Demoiselles d’Avignon’, made of yellow and black glazed terracotta, decorated with brown foliage and glaze runs, with twisted handles. H: 37 and 38 cm. The rim is missing on the brown one and there are a few chips to the handle; a small chip on the spout of the yellow one; a substantial layer of dust present on both ewers.
