18th-century sloping ‘donkey’s back’ desk, marked by Pierre II MIGEON (1696–1758)
A desk made of violet wood with marquetry on all sides, comprising a hinged front panel that opens to reveal an interior with drawers and a stepped mantelpiece.
In the lower section, there is a central drawer flanked by two doors on the front.
It stands on four curved legs decorated with a small bronze plaque featuring floral motifs.
Marked ‘Migeon’ on the underside of the desk on the right.
