WROUGHT-IRON ‘QUASIMODO’ COFFEE TABLE, ‘Jean-Maurice ROTHSCHILD’ MODEL, c. 1950 A rectangular table topped with a beautiful slab of green-veined Campan marble. The marble is set within a guilloché-engraved, stepped iron frame. The whole piece rests on a solid metal frame ending in broad, concave, fan-shaped legs. Each leg is decorated with large, intriguing figures supporting the table with their backs. Smiling, they sit with their legs crossed and are dressed in traditional costume. On either side, there are large iron volutes accompanied by a drooping circular ring. Dimensions: 48 x 98 x 53 cm
