IMPORTANT 19TH-CENTURY FIREPLACE SET The set comprises a clock and a pair of three-armed bronze candelabra. Original mercury gilding, with rich foliage and floral decoration depicting a bacchanal scene featuring three children and a goat at the top. A satyr’s head in a medallion supports the dial. The circular enamelled dial, signed ‘Etienne LENOIR A Paris’, features Roman numeral hour markers and a railway-track minute track, with the seconds track partly marked in Arabic numerals. Dimensions: 48 x 49 x 17 cm In a fine state of preservation and condition; the movement requires servicing.
