Patrick Boudon trained at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris from 1962 onwards, and made a name for himself the following year with his first exhibition at the Raymond Duncan Gallery. Initially influenced by abstract and informal art movements, his work subsequently came to be characterised by figures with exaggerated features. In the 1970s, he played an active role in the Parisian art scene by founding the Galeries-Ateliers Modernes de Paris. He exhibited in numerous shows organised in France, as well as in New York, Italy and Brazil.
