André ARBUS (1903–1969) for VERONESE Circa 1940–1950 A superb wall light in champagne-pink tinted blown glass with two light arms; the partially smoked baluster-shaped shades are supported by arms resembling foliage gilded with fine gold, separated by an obelisk, whilst the shaft is decorated with palmette motifs. A rare model, aesthetically similar to the light fittings from the ‘Concorde’ series created for the Élysée Palace. Wired. Height (visible): 62 cm (Excellent condition, minor scratches) THIS LOT WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE DROUOT STORAGE FACILITY AFTER THE SALE; IT WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN FOR INSPECTION.
