ARTS & CRAFTS An interesting ‘cathedral’ clock made of partially black-stained wood, with a circular dial in enamel and gilded brass featuring Roman numerals, resting on a rectangular base. Probably English in origin, second half of the 19th century. Height: 49 cm (Some small blackened wooden ornamental elements are missing) NOTE An identical clock was sold at Christie’s, auction of 30 June 2005, lot 32, London. THIS LOT WILL BE DELIVERED TO THE DROUOT STORAGE FACILITY AFTER THE SALE; IT WILL NOT BE RETURNED FOR INSPECTION.
