I can’t think of anything to say to you. Nothing that feels right. Not even ‘stay strong’. I can only send you this moment of respite. Sam. On a business card, in an envelope. Jean Demélier (1940–2023). Poet, writer and illustrator, he was the first French biographer of Samuel Beckett.
