JAPAN, Edo period Set of three yari (Japanese spear): The first of the futomata yari type (two-pronged spear), the blade of the su yari type (straight blade in the shape of a triangle) in iron. The shaft is made of black lacquered wood, the upper quarter inlaid with aogai (mother-of-pearl), the ends reinforced with copper rings. The iron pommel. (Oxidation, mother-of-pearl inlays missing from the shaft). Total length: 227 cm Blade length: 16.6 cm (Not dismantled) - The second of the futomata yari (two-pronged spear) type, the blade of the Ryo-shinogi-yari (diamond-shaped blade) iron type. With a long natural wood shaft, the upper quarter of which has a black lacquered ring motif, reinforced with copper rings. Iron pommel. (Oxidation). Total length: 208.5 cm Blade length: 15.3 cm (Not disassembled) -The third with the su yari type blade (straight blade in the shape of a triangle) in iron. With a long natural wood shaft, the upper quarter inlaid with aogai (mother-of-pearl), reinforced with copper rings. Iron pommel. (Oxidations, mother-of-pearl inlays missing on the shaft).
