Félix Maurice CHARPENTIER (1858–1924) Joan of Arc with a sword, c. 1905 A significant bronze cast with polychrome patinas in gold, silver and medal brown, depicting Joan of Arc in full length, clad in her armour and holding her sword. Signed ‘F. Charpentier’ on the plinth. Circular stamp of the publisher-founder on the plinth. H. 74 cm Signs of wear and patina deterioration, particularly on the plinth, with minor signs of use. Bibliography / related works: A copy of the model *Joan of Arc with Sword*, cast in marble and silver in 1905, H. 75 cm, is held in the Bacchi Collection.
