[MEDIEVAL MANUSCRIPT IN LATIN]. Saint Jerome, Commentary on Isaiah. Inconsistent manuscript of 106 leaves (numbered 8-131), text in two text in two columns with 30 lines per page. 330 x 240 mm. Vestiges of old binding on wooden boards. As the copy has no beginning or end, it has been impossible to obtain more as to its origin and dating. The use of minuscule caroline (used between the 9th and 12th centuries), makes dating around the the High Middle Ages. Marginal glosses, some parts in scriptio continua (without modern spaces between words). The titles in red clearly divisions (typical of religious manuscripts). A heavily manipulated copy, with only the beginning of chapter IX and chapters X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV and XV and part of chapter XVI with gaps inside them. Some leaves detached, some mould at the end of the book, some margins cut and various defects, bottom various defects, bottom cover broken. Copy sold as is without complaint.
