Folio, black half-basane, smooth spine with faux raised bands decorated with gilt and blind-stamped lines. 2 unfilled folios, X and 177 pp. Binding scuffed, a few foxing spots. First edition. It constitutes the first part of Pierre Bulliard’s (1752–1793) *Herbier de la France*, a monumental work that remained unfinished. A text-only copy, without the accompanying plates. Interior fresh, a fine copy.
