Description
HALÉVY, Daniel. Signed autograph letter-card addressed to Henri Buriot-Darsiles. Concerning *Quelques nouveaux Maîtres*, to be published in *Les Cahiers du Centre*. 1 page, in-12 format (144 x 112 mm), with address and postmarks on the reverse. Paris, 28 April 1914. Letter to his publisher, Buriot-Darsiles (1875–1944), editor of *Cahiers du Centre*, a regionalist journal founded in 1908 in Moulins. Daniel Halévy (1872–1962) is concerned about the cover of his forthcoming publication: “Do you have any ideas for the cover? Are you particularly keen on the pale green used for my *Proudhon*? The grey cover of *Les Trois robes distinguées* would suit me quite well, with a typeface that’s less old-fashioned’”… He refers to *Quelques nouveaux Maîtres*, which was published in 1914 and does indeed feature a grey cover.
