Binding by Patrice Goy and Carine Vilaine. 363 pp., numerous black-and-white illustrations in the text and as inserts. First edition. One of 20 copies printed on Japon paper, numbered and initialled by the publisher (no. 14), the only one on large-format paper. Numerous in-text illustrations by various artists: Cazals, Ibels, Gustave le Rouge, Lubin de Beauvais, Monfreid, Redon, Steinlen, Verlaine… A fine copy, complete with its cover illustrated by Steinlen, in a good later signed binding.
