Folio, loose-leaf in a double-circle format, with a flexible transparent plastic cover and a publisher’s slipcase with a magnetic closure; the title appears on the spine and the front cover is adorned with a composition by Longobardi. Unpaginated. The front cover of the slipcase is slightly soiled and loose (missing its magnetic fastening). A book-object adorned with original, geometric and colourful linocuts by Xavier Longobardi (1923–2010), which illustrate this essay in which the physicist Louis de Broglie (1892–1987) reflects on the limits of scientific knowledge.
