[CARICATURE] GAVARNI. Masks and Faces. Paris, Paulin & Le Chevalier, 1857 IN-12, green half-shagreen with corner pieces, two ribbed sides, panels decorated with small gilt ironwork, gilt headband. XXIV and 248 pp., frontispiece and numerous vignettes. Minimal scuffing to the binding, slight foxing on the first few leaves. An in-12 edition of this collection of caricatures, published in the same year as the original and by the same publisher. At the end, an interesting catalogue of Gavarni’s work, included in the pagination. [Carteret, *Le Trésor du bibliophile*, Romantic period, 1801–1875, p. 264]. A fine copy in a contemporary binding.
