Lamy], 1 January – 31 December 1899. 53 issues on coated paper bound in 1 large quarto volume, midnight blue half-basane, smooth spine decorated with gilt fillets (later binding). 640 pp. (approximately 6 folios per issue), numerous black-and-white illustrations. Founded in 1896 and edited by the journalist Paul Meyan (1852–1938), one of the founders of the Automobile Club de France, *La France automobile* covered the latest news from manufacturers, mechanical innovations, competitions, motor shows, races and motor rallies. A very fine copy.
