No place [Tunis], no publisher [printed by ‘La Rapide’], no date [circa 1954] 1 volume of text and 1 volume of plates, large 8vo, paperback. VII and 303 pp.; 127 plates and two alphabet tables. Spine and margins of the covers sun-faded. First edition of this catalogue compiled by Colette Picard (1913–1999), a historian and archaeologist who served as curator of the Carthage site. The two volumes, text and plates, catalogue the items in the Punic collection, providing descriptions, dimensions and dates. The Alaoui Museum was the name given to the Bardo Museum during the French Protectorate (1881–1955). A fine set.
