Émile GALLE (1846-1904)
Carved and moulded mahogany display cabinet with a quadrangular poly-lobed body and inlaid wood of different species. The top is glazed and opens onto an interior with a glass shelf with adjustable height and a curved drawer at the waist. The lower shelf of the display cabinet is decorated with poppy flower marquetry and the poly-lobed belt is decorated with papal coins and birds. Recessed corner base with curved legs carved at the top with leaves and entirely grooved with a lower cross brace that is curved and grooved (small cracks, accidents, insolate wood, one shelf missing).
Signed in the marquetry.
