Description
Kropatchek Steyr Model 1886 rifle. Round-bore rifled barrel fitted with a front sight, an adjustable rear sight and a bayonet lug. Breechblock marked ‘OE.W.F.G. STEYR 1886’, crown hallmark and ‘M.1886’. Bronze finish missing in places and slight oxidation. Walnut stock with acceptance mark and all iron fittings. Previously deactivated at St Etienne; barrel plugged and breech deactivated, but the action remains functional. Portuguese contract.
