Description

Pair of pistols in box signed Devisme in Paris. Percussion locks, blued octagonal barrels signed F. P. Devisme in Paris, deep rifling, round chequered walnut stocks terminating in a ring, hinged ramrods. The barrels were probably manufactured in Liège. France and Belgium circa 1830-1840. Overall length 34 cm, barrel 19.5 cm, case 46 x 25 cm. Good condition, working mechanisms, in a box complete with accessories, scarlet velvet finish, marked Devisme, 26 Boulevart des Italiens, Arquebusier Bréveté, with this particular spelling.
