Description
14 – Second-class (Commander) gold and enamel cross of the Tsarist Order of St Anne, awarded for military service to a Christian recipient. A fine double-sided cross, with arms enamelled in red with translucent enamel, and the centre enamelled with a polychrome full-length portrait of the saint. On the reverse, the translucent red enamel on the upper arm reveals a maker’s mark ‘A.K.’ (identifying the silversmith Albert Keibel, 1882–1910). The enamel is intact on both the obverse and reverse. Hallmarked suspension ring. (40 mm × 35 mm, 9.7 g gross) In a red cardboard box bearing the imperial eagle, gilded in fine line work on the lid. (Condition 1)
