Light and reliable, simple in design and easy to repair, it even inspired Royal Enfield in England with its WD/RE model. It was supplied to the Wehrmacht in a modified 'neuere Ausführung' type n.A version, with a larger fuel tank, a cyclone-type air filter and two side supports for 'Packtaschen' saddlebags for transporting equipment and ammunition. The example offered for sale is a DKW 125 in the n.A version produced for the Reich's armies, with its original production plate dated 1944. Restored on the basis of an authentic DKW motorbike found in its original state on a farm in the English Channel, the work carried out is of very high quality, with respect for detail and the standards of the period in which it was produced.
