Russian officer’s sabre, Model 1909. Composite hilt. Chiselled brass mountings. Short-tailed pommel, marked ‘H II’ (Nicholas II) with a crown. Single-bar guard. Long blade, strongly curved, with two blood grooves, decorated in recesses: on one side with the double-headed eagle and on the other with the crowned ‘H II’ monogram; marked on the heel ‘Carl Eickhorn Solingen’. Scabbard with two iron bands, showing traces of nickel plating. EM (signs of wear, crack in the hilt, ring at the base of the hilt missing)
