Light cavalry officer's sabre, type 1822. Made by a private contractor in St-Etienne. Curved blade with round back grooves, highlighted with a gutter. Counter-edge. Chased gilt bronze mounting. Short-tailed cap. Main guard limb subdivided into two arched limbs joining the top. Wooden fuse dressed in chagrin, and filigree with its leather strap. In a sheet steel scabbard with one strap.
