Description
Mahogany weekly chest, with finely chiselled gilded metal pull rings and locks decorated with palm leaves and small flowers, clover-shaped key locks, and a black marble top. Each drawer is stamped ‘GAMICHON A PARIS’. Jean-Baptiste GAMICHON was active from the start of the Revolution until the beginning of the Empire; he died in 1832. A few minor imperfections, notably on the drawer runners and scuff marks on the legs; one rear leg needs reattaching. 148 x 99 x 45
