France, Italy, circa 1870–90s. A collection of around twenty albumen prints, several of which are mounted on card. Examples of subjects: Manche, Avranches (La Tourelle, the bay of Mont Saint-Michel, Place de la Mairie, the Sée Valley), hunters, Milan, Venice, etc. Various conditions. Full sizes ranging from approximately 21 x 14 cm to 27.5 x 20 cm.
Provenance: Collection of Jean-Pierre Seguin (1920–2014). Founder of the BPI at the Centre Pompidou, 1965. Director of the Department of Prints and Photography at the National Library (1977–1981), President of the National Committee for French Engraving and Director of *Nouvelles de l’estampe* (1978–1982).
