France, circa 1870–1890s. A collection of around twenty albumen prints, several of which are mounted on card. Examples of subjects: Paris, Pas-de-Calais, Boulogne-sur-Mer, Granville, Waves in Ireland, Villa Sainte-Anne, Egypt – Suez Canal, sailing ships, mountainous landscapes, panorama of Cherbourg, etc. Various conditions. Full sizes approximately 11 x 7.5 cm, 28.5 x 10.5 cm to 20.5 x 12 cm. Provenance: Collection of Jean-Pierre Seguin (1920–2014). Founder of the BPI at the Centre Pompidou, 1965. Director of the Department of Prints and Photography at the National Library (1977–1981), President of the National Committee for French Printmaking and Director of *Nouvelles de l’estampe* (1978–1982).
