A collection of around twenty photographs from the 19th and 20th centuries, mostly albumin and silver gelatine prints, some mounted on card, others not. Examples of subjects: construction, building works, bridges, buildings, architecture, labourers, railways, trams, the ‘Rochers de Cancale’, panoramas, Dinan, Chinon, Finistère, Camaret, Ajaccio, Loiret, Bruyère in Sologne, Lake Chambon. Various conditions, including creases and marks. Full sizes approximately 16 x 11 cm, 28 x 24 cm to 30.5 x 19 cm.
Provenance: Collection of Jean-Pierre Seguin (1920–2014). Founder of the BPI at the Centre Pompidou, 1965. Director of the Department of Prints and Photography at the National Library (1977–1981), President of the National Committee for French Engraving and Director of *Nouvelles de l’estampe* (1978–1982).
