Description
SWITZERLAND – PRIVATE ISSUE – 1 ounce silver ‘Silber Unze – Suisse’, 2001 – Valcambi AG. Obverse: The field is entirely covered with a repeating pattern of small Swiss crosses. In the centre, against a plain background tracing the geographical contours of Switzerland, are the four names of the country in the national languages (‘SUISSE / SCHWEIZ / SVIZZERA / SVIZRA’) arranged in four lines. Above the map, silhouettes of the three Confederates taking the oath. The Valcambi hallmark is visible in the lower part of the map. Reverse: The inscription ‘1 / SILBER / UNZE / 2001’ on four lines in the centre, surrounded by a wreath of oak branches and alpine flowers, tied with a ribbon at the base. Gross weight: 31.10 g. Metal and fineness: 999 silver. Diameter: 38 mm. Condition: FDC; golden, iridescent patina around the edge on the reverse.
