Louis XV-style ‘Bureau Bonheur du Jour’ in burl walnut veneer, opening at the top via two hinged panels and a drawer running along the side, and resting on four curved legs. Folding top covered in blue silk (showing signs of wear, stains and tears). Chiselled and gilded bronze fittings. Napoleon III period. Signed on the lock: ‘Paul Sormani 10 rue Charlot Paris’. Minor veneer lifting.
