BOUTEILLER (DE) (Edmond) – The Diary of Jean le Coullon 1537–1587, based on the original manuscript, published for the first time and annotated. Paris, Nancy, Dumoulin et Cie, Sidot Frères, 1881; in-8, XV-148 pp., full red cloth binding, plain spine, navy blue leather title label, cover preserved. Part of the ‘Petite Bibliothèque Messine’ collection. Jean le Coullon, a chronicler from Metz, recounts the history of this small republic, the city of Metz. In the same vein as his predecessors Dom Floret, J. Ancillon, J. Olry and Jean Bauchez. Black-and-white illustration depicting the history of Ancy-sur-Moselle. Edition printed in a run of 220 copies, on handmade paper.
