Numerous black-and-white illustrations by the finest artists of the period. Alfred de Musset, French Romantic writer (1810–1857). He began his career in Charles Nodier’s literary circle and led a dandyish life characterised by a mixture of alcohol and depression. His work is marked by extreme sensitivity. He had a tumultuous relationship with George Sand. Good condition.
