MALOT (Hector) - En famille. Paris, Flammarion, circa 1900; in-4, 512 pp, publisher's red hardback, smooth spine, gilt edges, first cover illustrated. Illustrations by Lanos. Good condition. Hector-Henri Malot, known as Hector Malot, was a French novelist. He was born on 20 May 1830 in La Bouille, not far from Rouen, and died on 18 July 1907 in Fontenay-sous-Bois. Hector Malot wrote some sixty novels. The best known today are his novels for children: Romain Kalbris, Sans Famille, En Famille. Another children's novel, Le Mousse, was published posthumously.
