Description
ALBERT DUBOUT / MADAME ANATOLE – Polychrome resin sculpture produced by the ‘ATELIERS D’ART ALBERT DUBOUT’, stamped by the workshops on the plinth and numbered ‘7/350’ (height approx. 45cm, base diameter approx. 17cm) – Between 1993 and 1996, the Ateliers d’Art Albert Dubout undertook the production of resin sculptures based on designs by Albert Dubout. Originally, an edition of between 175 and 350 copies per sculpture was planned. For technical and financial reasons, however, only between 1 and 30 copies were produced per resin sculpture; the process, which was very time-consuming and too costly, ceased in 1996, with the final sculpture being ‘La femme au salon de l’auto’, of which only two copies were made, after which the workshop closed - ‘Madame Anatole’ is therefore one of Dubout’s very rare sculptures, of which at least seven copies were produced, as indicated by its numbering - Statuette in excellent condition, packaged in a wooden box (without a certificate)
