After CLODION The Spring, circa 1900 Patinated plaster Unsigned 36 x 53 x 24 cm This plaster cast is a reduced-scale version of the marble sculpture created in 1782 by Claude Michel, known as Clodion (now lost), for the bathroom of the Hôtel de Besenval, the residence of Pierre-Victor de Besenval de Brünstatt, who was originally from Switzerland.
