Gustave KLINGERT, Grigory SBITNEV, Pavel SAZIKOV (1893-1895) Russia, Moscow - Imperial period A large 875/1000 (84 zolotniks) silver caviar service decorated with polychrome cloisonné enamels, consisting of a central caviar pot with a mobile handle and matching cutlery, The neo-Russian-style decoration features a rich iconography of foliage, stylised flowers and friezes of pearls in turquoise-blue, red and white enamel. The interiors and utility parts feature original mercury (vermeil) gilding. This prestigious ensemble brings together three of the greatest Moscow workshops of the late 19th century. Caviar pot: signed Gustav KLINGERT, dated 1893, Caviar spoons, six pieces signed Grigory SBITNEV (G.A.S) Marking in Latin characters for the international luxury market Six-piece caviar knives signed NC attributed to the SAZIKOV workshops, dated 1895. Superb condition, with no major structural damage or missing parts, and used patina on the vermeil. Total gross weight: 820 g
