CHAUMET, 1919 A brooch-barrette in 18-carat white gold (750/1000) and platinum, featuring a row of 14 old-cut diamonds, set in a closed setting, ranging from 0.55 carats to 1.75 carats. Commissioned from Maison Chaumet on 13 June 1919 by the Countess of Bourbon-Busset. In its case marked ‘B.B.R.’ and surmounted by a count’s crown, with a beige velvet and satin interior, signed by J. Chaumet, Sr de Morel & Co., 154 New Bond Street, London – 12 Place Vendôme, Paris. Total weight of the 14 diamonds: approx. 13.6 cts Gross weight: 14.9 g. – L.: 10.5 cm.
