A finely chased and gilded bronze Génie des Sciences clock depicting a standing winged Génie, the allegory of science and time, standing on an architectural structure decorated with scientific instruments: armillary sphere, telescope, books, globe and scholarly accessories. White enamelled circular dial with Roman numerals, framed by a rich frieze of water leaves, set in a body simulating a library. Rectangular base with friezes of garlands of flowers, bows and ribbons in relief, resting on four rectangular feet. Restoration period - 39 x 30 x 10.5 cm, with its key and pendulum. Needs servicing
