Reunion of TWO MEDALS in brass (also known as "Florentine bronze"): - Greetings medal decorated with faces, flowers and wings, featuring inscriptions from the novel "Novalis" by Henri d'OFTERDINGEN. On the obverse: "BIENTÔT LE JARDIN DES HESPÉRIDES REFLEURIRA ET LES FRUITS D'OR PARFUMERONT LA BRISE / NOVALIS : " HENRI D'OFTERDINGEN" and on the reverse: "SOUHAITS ET DÉSIR SONT DES AILES - NOVALIS / VOEUX ROMANTIQUES". Signed "Jean MARCEL" (engraver) and dated 1979 on the edge. Diameter : 10 cm. - Medal signed Bernard TURLAN and dated 1983 on the edge. "May the new year be for you a source... gushing with joy". Diameter: 10 cm. This medal was designed by Pierre Dehaye, Director of the Monnaie de Paris, and produced by Bernard Turlin. It was presented to François Mitterrand in 1983, and a copy is kept at the Musée du Septennat in Château-Chinon.
