A carved wooden figure of the Body of Christ, probably made of boxwood or fruitwood, depicted as dead, with his head bowed, wearing the crown of thorns and the knotted perizonium. Beautifully rendered anatomy in the round, with a honey-brown patina.
Former part of a crucifix; the cross is missing.
Period: 19th century.
