A set of two decorative medallions in relief, probably made of biscuit porcelain or moulded plaster, set in blackened and gilded wooden frames with Rocaille-style decoration.
The first medallion depicts a mythological scene featuring a female figure and a horse.
The second medallion depicts putti / cherubs in an allegorical scene.
Visible diameters:
Large medallion: 17.5 cm.
Second medallion: 15.5 cm.
Condition: visible damage, losses and chips to the frames; wear to the gilding and blackened wood. Possible minor losses to the reliefs, particularly along the edge of the large medallion. Original fastenings on the reverse.
