Description
DESIGN – German design in the style of HILLEBRAND — Circular illuminated mirror with indirect lighting, circa 1960–1970. A gold-anodised aluminium frame with a curved edge, openwork around the circumference featuring a frieze of radial slits through which light filters; a round mirror extending slightly beyond the frame, mounted on a white lacquered metal tripod; on the reverse, an electrical housing containing the original German components (Frako capacitor, Osram starter, ballast, VDE-marked) and a replacement circular fluorescent tube. Unsigned. As is: oxidation and tarnishing of the anodised finish, marks, scratches and slight distortions on the rim; electrical components not checked. Diameter approx. 84 cm (rim) – diameter approx. 68 cm (mirror).
