[DALI] DANTE ALIGHIERI – THE DIVINE COMEDY. Hell – Purgatory – Paradise. Translated by Julien BRIZEUX. Paris, Les Heures Claires, 1959–1963. 6 folio volumes (approx. 33.5 x 27.5 cm). Unbound, in padded covers, with titled folders and the publisher’s double decorated slipcase. Illustrated with 100 full-page compositions by Salvador DALI, colour woodcut reproductions of his watercolours (3,500 woodcuts engraved by Raymond JACQUET and Jean TARICCO). Text typeset by hand in the ‘Méridien’ typeface and printed by Daragnès. Limited edition of 4,765 copies, numbered on pure Rives rag paper. This copy, no. 4580, is one of 3,900 copies numbered from 866 to 4,765. Complete with all 100 plates. Very good condition. Minor flaws to the slipcases.
