Eugène-Louis Lequesne (1815–1887): Dancing Faun. Bronze sculpture with a nuanced brown patina depicting a nude faun, dancing and playing the flute, balancing on a wineskin, with the attributes of the Bacchanalia at his feet (tambourine, cymbals, thyrsus and a bunch of grapes). Signed and bearing the foundry mark ‘Susse Frères’ on the base, marked on the plinth ‘Susse Frères Editions Paris’. (Distortion to the flute). H 28.5 cm. Expert: Frédéric HORTALA
