Attributed to Piat-Joseph Sauvage (1744-1818) Bust of a man in profile to the left, wearing a bouffant wig and long hair tied back, in grisaille on a dark blue background Miniature on ivory, visible diameter 3.9 cm Gilt brass ring, diam. 4.2 cm On the reverse, handwritten note: "collection / [?]uerin Feuillet". Provenance: Bonhams sale, London - Bonhams sale, London, 22 May 2003 no. 31 "PJ Sauvage". - coll. Richard Baron Cohen, Fraysse et Ass, Drouot, 3 Dec 2014 no. 78 repr. "PJ Sauvage", diam. 4 cm.
