European school, late 19th-early 20th century Portrait of one of the sons of King Charles I of England, a child in a bonnet holding an apple, half-length to the left. Rectangular miniature on ivory Signed lower right: "Vandick" ? 6 x 5 cm In a blackened wood frame with a gilt moulded brass visor. (Sick glass; minor damage to the frame). Reproduction with variations in the costume of a detail of the painting by Antoon van Dyck in the Royal Museum of Turin. Provenance: Collection of M. X., Paris Expert: Nathalie Lemoine-Bouchard.
