Eero SAARINEN (1910-1961): Pair of "Tulip" chairs, with off-white fibreglass shells, resting on a central fixed, circular and rotating cast aluminium base.
Height: 81 cm
The legs of these two chairs were drilled in order to be fixed to the floor of the commander's cabin of the French anti-aircraft frigate "Le Cassard", which will be dismantled in 2019.
