The front features extensive incised and inlaid decoration in ivory (Elephantidae spp) and red-stained tortoiseshell (Eretmochelys imbricata imbricata). The pediment is encircled by a gallery of thirty-four turned ivory (Elephantidae spp) columns. It features an architecturally styled panel flanked by columns, adorned with a small painting depicting the Virgin and Child within a frame of eleven small drawers decorated with pastoral and equestrian scenes, surmounted by facing lions holding a shield.
